24-Hour Temperature and Relative Humidity for NearSys Station, 28 July 2019

Nothing special to report other than it didn't reach 100 degrees. The Amprobe TR200 sits on top of a black plastic crate. It's apparent I'm going to need to make a change with that.

Clear skies, but still noticing that the UV intensity has odd spikes while other colors don't.

Visibility for NearSys Station, 28 July 2019

It was a beautiful morning and very clear. The UAVSonde images indicate the visibility was in excess of 50 miles. I do know however that in the afternoon, visibility had dropped.

Air Quality for NearSys Station, 19 - 26 July 2019

An odd spike of PM10 was seen around noon on the 21st. Nothing similar was apparent for other particulate matter. Otherwise, the air quality was very good this week.

Air Quality for NearSys Station, 13 July - 21 July

The JetPack mobile WiFi shut itself off several times last week, so there's gaps in the data. Otherwise, only one spike in bad air quality last week.

24-Hour Photometer for NearSys Station, 20 July 2019

Odd that the UV flux increased in the morning before other wavelengths.

The Confluence of the Boise and Snake Rivers

I launched my UAV at Martin Landing this afternoon. This is park and camping site operated by the Idaho Fish and Game and Canyon County Parks. It sits right at the confluence of the Boise and Snake Rivers. The camping is better than primitive and only costs $12 a day. I checked every sign I could find to make sure there were posted rules about drone flying before proceeding.

I quickly hiked to one camp site (one without people nearby so there was no one to disturb) to get a picture. There I found that Martin Landing has a nice view. The drone images,we're even better. They showed just how muddy the Boise River is compared to the Snake River. The Boise River carries a lot of sediment as it meanders to the Snake River.

Notice how much muddied the water from the Boise River is compared to the Snake River.

Visibility for NearSys Station, 14 July 2019

Visibility was in excess of 50 miles, but not by a lot more. Interesting to see how a cloud to the west cast it's shadow on the ground.

Air Quality for NearSys Station, 5 - 12 July 2019

We had a spike of poor quality air on the morning of the 12th. Otherwise, it looked good for the entire week.

24-Hour Photometer for NearSys Station, 12 July 2019

Odd spike 8:00 PM in the ultraviolet. We were experiencing a thunderstorm at the time and I don't know if the flashes were bright in UV or it was the rain on the sensor.

24-Hour Temperature and Relative Humidity for NearSys Station, 7 July 2019

Strange spikes in the relative humidity were measured on Sunday morning, before sunrise. NearSys Station is far enough away from the yard that I don't think the sprinklers were responsible for this. Otherwise, after sunrise the temperature and relative humidity behaved as expected.

All-Sky Photometer for NearSys Station, 7 July 2019

From the looks of the data, NearSys Station experienced consistently hazy skies on the 7th. However, there were no unusual spikes in the intensity of any of the colors measured.

Air Quality for NearSys Station, 28 June - 5 July 2019

There was odd spike late on the 5th when the concentration of particulate matter increased ten times. The event lasted approximately 12 hours. It can also be seen that NearSys Station was offline during the 29th.

Visibility for NearSys Station, 7 July 2019

It's a hazy day. Even last night it was too hazy to justify taking the telescope outside. With that in mind, the visibility at NearSys Station is just barely 50 miles. That's because the Boise Mountains can barely be seen from the air.
